Mt. Kitanglad Range Natural Park"LOGO-MAKING CONTEST"

"Mechanics, Rules and Regulations"

  1. The contest is open to all Filipinos nationwide.

  2. The contest duration is from October 3 to October 25, 2016.

  3. Participants may SUBMIT ONLY ONE (1) ENTRY.

  4. Entries should be in digitized format (at least 600 dpi with a file extension of .jpg)

    • The raw file of the digital artwork should be drawn/ illustrated in A4 size using Adobe Photoshop. Submit the file in the following formats:

      1. Flat jpeg format, minimum 300pixels
      2. Original raw file. Filename is your name and artwork title. Example: juandelacruz_logo.jpeg, juandelacruz_logo.tiff.

    • A brief description or rationale (not more than 300 words) explaining the components of the logo should also be included in the entry.

    • The logo should not carry the name of the artist.

  5. The design of the logo should be in accordance with MT KITANGLAD & NIPAS TWIN OBJECTIVE that is: "BIODIVERSITY CONSERVATION AND SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT". It should communicate a proactive, progressive, and empowered institution to implement the twin objectives of the park. Thus, the logo may represent the Mt. Kitanglad PAMB, composed of DENR, representatives of LGU, indigenous peoples, private sector, academe, civil society, NGOs, faith-based organizations. The designer should be able to interpret the meaning of the logo based on PAMB's logo standards.

  6. Mt. Kitanglad Vision
    "We envision MKRNP as a protected area sustainably managed by empowered local communities and indigenous peoples with firm tenure over the resources whose men and women ensure the conservation of biodiversity, prevent human-caused species extinction, engage in non-destructive livelihood practices and are supported by the government and public which has internalized conservation values and respects cultural integrity."

  7. By entering the competition, the participants declare that the logo submitted is their original work, have not been submitted to any other competition, and does not infringe on any third party's existing copyrights. Any complaints that may arise due to similarities, likeness or comparison of the design would be the accountability of the participant as he/she would be responsible to prove its authenticity.

  8. The logo-making competition shall be judged according to the following criteria:

    • Concept/Relevance - 40%
    • Originality - 30%
    • Creativity and Impact - 30%

  9. Only the top 5 entry will be posted in our website and qualifies for final screening.

  10. The winning entry will be chosen on October 27, 2016 by the selected PAMB members of the. The decision of the judges is final.

  11. The winner shall be informed through email and telephone call from a designated PASu staff. Same process for the non-winning entry for their information and also in recognition of their efforts to join the competition.

  12. Awarding of the winning entry shall be on November 10, 2016 during the Aldaw ta Kitanglad Culmination Program. One winner shall be chosen and shall receive a certificate and Php 8,000.00 cash price.

  13. Four (4) non-winning entry shall receive a certificate and a consolation price of P1,000.00 each.

  14. All entries submitted as entry for the contest shall be considered as property of MKRNP-AHP, and maybe used by the PAMB and MK Office. Likewise, submitted entries will be featured in the PAMB MKRNP WEBSITE, IEC, such as but not limited to publications, advertisements, exhibits and other printed or digital media.

  15. The MKRNP-AHP shall also have exclusive rights to the winning logo design; publish it on its websites, and in other media and corporate materials such as letterheads and envelopes. The PAMB MKRNP reserves the right to further refine or make improvements and alterations on the final artwork of the winning entry.

  16. The PAMB PASU Personnel, DENR and their relatives up to 3rd degree of consanguinity and affinity are disqualified from joining this contest.

The Protected area Superintendent (PASu) office of Mt. Kitanglad Range Natural Park, with the full support from the Kitanglad Integrated NGO's (KIN), Biodiversity and Watershed Improved for Stronger Economy and Ecosystem Reselience (B+WISER) and Landbank B2B have joined hands in organizing a study tour for the Protected Area Management Board (PAMB) members on March 5-6, 2015. With the theme "Protected Area Ecosystems Management and Sustainability", the activity focus on integrating community (socio-cultural) welfare, automated local government revenue system, and green (eco) infrastructure".

Activities:
  1. Lecture on "LGU Suites and E-payment Portal (EPP) for Efficient Local Government Revenue Generation for Greater Investment towards Conservation Programs and People's Welfare in Mt. Kitanglad Range Natural Park" by Edgardo Herbosa;

  2. Guided field tour at NUVALI, Sta. Rosa and Laguna;

  3. Lecture on "Rewarding and Payment for Environmental Services";

  4. Presidential Adviser on Environmental Protection, Secretary J.R. Nereus O. Acosta, Ph. D. also discussed the priority programs of President Benigno Aquino III in relation to environment;

  5. Guided tour at Malacanang Museum.

18th Aldaw Ta Kitangad Celebration at Barangay Kalugmanan, Manolo Fortich

The Aldaw ta Kitanglad is held annually to show our respect and gratitude to the participation of tribal communities surrounding Mt. Kitanglad Range Natural Park for its protection, conservation and development. This year, the 18th Aldaw ta Kitanglad was hosted by LGU Manolo Fortich led by its municipal mayor, Hon. Rogelio N. Quino. The fest was held on November 4-6, 2014 at barangay Kalugmanan, Manolo Fortich, Bukidnon.
